| Technical fire penetration seal for continuous, combustible pipe casing (made of synthetic Indian rubber, mineral fibres, polyurethane or foam glass) on non-combustible pipes made of steel, cast iron, stainless steel or copper in the fire resistance classification R 90, consisting of a mat made of the construction material “PYROSTAT - UNI” that foams in the event of fire, wrapped around the insulation. The pipe systems can be used to transport cooling agents, water and steam heating, water supply, wastewater disposal, non-combustible liquids, vapours or dust (no ventilation shafts), pneumatic tube conveyors (transport pipes) and also dist intake pipes, combustible liquids, combustible or combustible gases or combustible dust. The pipe penetration seals may be installed in support and non-supporting, room-enclosing walls and ceilings in at least the fire resistance classification R 90. |

PYROSTAT - UNI RM Version 1 Two layers of PYROSTAT - UNI is wrapped around the pipe casing around the component in a width of at least 250 mm in such a way that there is an overlap of 50 mm on both sides (-for component thicknesses of 150 mm-). Under certain circumstances, the mat may also be wrapped just once around the pipe casing. The hollow space in the residual joint between the pipe penetration seal and the component soffit must be sealed in this version with mortar or concrete.

PYROSTAT - UNI RM Version 2 If the component thickness is > 150 mm, two mats with a width of at least 125 mm each must be wrapped twice around the pipe casing that > 75 mm of the strip remains on the component, while 50 mm remains as an overlap outside of the component. Under certain circumstances, the mat may also be wrapped just once around the pipe casing. The hollow space in the residual joint between the pipe penetration seal and the component soffit must be sealed in this version with mortar or concrete.

PYROSTAT - UNI RMB The solution PYROSTAT - UNI RMB should be selected if the pipes are already installed. A cylinder made of zinc-plated steel or stainless steel is to be installed around the mat on both sides (overlap of the butt 30 mm), which must be attached to the component flush using 4 or 6 straps, depending on the exterior diameter of the pipe. Depending on the exterior diameter of the pipe, the width of the mat is 150 or 250 mm.

PYROSTAT - UNI RM/LT The pipe penetration seal may be installed in non-supporting partition walls that enclose the room in metal stand construction with panelling on both sides and with plasterboard, fire protection boards in at least the fire resistance classification F 30 (thickness > 75 mm – with doubling around the seals) or F 90 (thickness > 100 mm). A protective insulation (thickness = 19 to 32 mm) is to be installed above the mat if the pipe casing is made of synthetic Indian rubber, polyurethane or glass foam.
